Thanks to The Tube's Cocoa roots, it's been able to take advantage of numerous Mac OS X Leopard features since day one. The Tube 2.7 now takes Leopard integration one step further: Not only have several improvements been made "under the hood", the improved Leopard integration is visible right at the surface: The entire user interface and layout of the application closely match the Leopard look and feel, whilst retaining The Tube's unique, sleek visuals.
You can now enjoy TV with your friends everywhere. The Tube 2.7 can stream digital TV live via iChat over the internet - independent of the location of the TV receiver. To make streaming TV easy, The Tube offers a dedicated menu item: Just select your iChat buddies, start a video chat and then drag The Tube's icon onto the open video chat window.
For those who prefer to enjoy TheTube with the volume all the way down, Closed Captioning is now supported. Many stations broadcast captions in multiple languages. The Tube allows for easy switching between all the available captions offered. Just click and read - that's it.
TV recordings from The Tube can be accessed directly from your Mac OS X Leopard Dock. Once you select the appropriate option in The Tube, a new stack will be added to your Dock with the entire content of your recordings library allowing for quick and easy access. If you open the recordings folder in the Finder, you can also preview your recordings with QuickLook.
The Tube 2.7 now makes getting your recorded content from A to B even easier. All recordings that are automatically published to a TubeToGo web gallery can now be subscribed to via an RSS podcast. This gives you unprecedented flexibility: Subscribe to your recordings' podcast with iTunes and your recordings will be downloaded automatically to your Apple TV in the den. No manual copying or syncing and no fuss - just great TV.
