If you're experiencing issues with your World Connect connection in VPN Tracker, here's what to do:
1. Contact Support
In VPN Tracker, go to the Help menu and select "Contact Support".
In the window that opens:
- Enter "World Connect Issue" in the subject line.
- Describe the problem you're having so our support team can help you quickly.
2. Try These Steps in the Meantime
- If you're using a country-specific connection (e.g. "United States"), try unchecking the "Fastest Destination" option.
- Once unchecked, you can manually choose from the available cities (e.g. New York, Los Angeles, Miami, etc.).
- Try connecting to a different city to see if the issue is specific to one location.
These steps often help resolve temporary connection issues.
- Confirm your VPN location by checking your IP address. Use a service like WhatIsMyIP.com to make sure World Connect has assigned you an IP in the correct country.
- Restart your browser after connecting to World Connect. Modern browsers may keep DNS-over-HTTPS (DoH) sessions open from before the VPN connection. Restarting ensures all traffic is routed through the VPN.
- Use your browser’s Private Mode (or Incognito Mode). Websites can track previous sessions with cookies. Private Mode ensures your browser starts with fresh cookies, preventing the site from recognising your old session.
- Clear cookies or site data. If Private Mode is not convenient, manually clearing cookies and site data achieves the same effect and prevents the website from recognising your prior session.
- Disable DNS-over-HTTPS (DoH) in your browser. With DoH active, your browser may bypass the VPN’s DNS settings and resolve domains based on your physical location. Disabling DoH ensures DNS queries go through World Connect and reflect the VPN server location.
- Check whether the site blocks VPN traffic in general. Some websites block all known VPN IP ranges, regardless of location. You can test this by connecting to a US server while physically in the US. If access is still blocked, the site may simply prevent VPN usage.
Open VPN Tracker World Connect on your iPhone or iPad. If the VPN is active, the app will show the current connection status.
You can also check the iOS VPN indicator: swipe down from the top-right corner of the screen to open Control Center. If the VPN is connected, you should see the small VPN symbol in the status area.
If you are unsure, open VPN Tracker World Connect and check the connection screen. This is the most reliable place to confirm the current VPN status and reconnect if needed.
If the VPN is not active, you may also want to learn how to restart VPN Tracker World Connect or how VPN Tracker World Connect can reconnect automatically.
iOS Settings may show the VPN status, but the correct connection controls are available in VPN Tracker World Connect. Open the app, disconnect the VPN, then connect again from inside the app.
If the connection still does not start, make sure your normal internet connection is working, update VPN Tracker World Connect to the latest version, and try again.
If you want VPN Tracker World Connect to reconnect automatically when you open the app, you can turn on Auto Connect in the app settings.
On iPhone and iPad, this can happen when your device switches between Wi-Fi and cellular data, joins a captive Wi-Fi network, loses internet access, goes through a weak signal area, or when iOS changes network conditions in the background.
In most cases, you can simply open VPN Tracker World Connect and reconnect.
If the VPN disconnects frequently, check whether your normal internet connection is stable, install the latest VPN Tracker World Connect update, and try connecting again. If the issue continues, contact support from inside the app via Help > Contact Support, as this can include useful diagnostic information for troubleshooting.
You may also want to check how to tell whether VPN Tracker World Connect is connected and how to turn on Auto Connect.
When Auto Connect is turned on, VPN Tracker World Connect will automatically reconnect as soon as you open the app. This is useful if your VPN connection has stopped and you want to get back online quickly without starting the connection manually each time.
To enable it, open VPN Tracker World Connect, go to the app settings, and turn on Auto Connect.
Please note that Auto Connect reconnects when you open the app. If you want to check whether the VPN is currently active, open VPN Tracker World Connect or swipe down to open iOS Control Center and look for the small VPN symbol.
‣ Then, choose "World Connect" and "Countries"
‣ Check your country of choice:

‣ Change to your preferred language by dragging your selected language to the top of the list.
‣ Close your software. For example, with VPN Tracker, you can do so by choosing "VPN Tracker" > "Quit VPN Tracker."
‣ Reopen the software.
