Which VPN protocols typically require individual access?
WireGuard connections typically require individual access because every user or device should have a separate configuration with its own cryptographic keys. In VPN Tracker, each WireGuard connection should therefore be assigned only to its intended team member.
Other protocols, including OpenVPN, IKEv2 IPsec, and SSL VPN, may also require individual access when the connection contains a personal certificate, private key, username, or other user-specific credentials. If a connection contains only shared gateway settings and users enter their own credentials when connecting, the connection itself can usually be shared with multiple team members.
