How do you turn subtitles on and off on Apple TV?
On Apple TV, subtitle settings are managed centrally in the Apple TV settings.
To turn on:
Go to Apple TV Settings > “Accessibility” > “Subtitles and Enhanced Subtitles”. Turn on there.
and
Settings on Apple TV “Accessibility” > “Subtitles and Enhanced Subtitles” > “Style”. Turn on there.
To turn off:
Go to Apple TV Settings > “Accessibility” > “Subtitles and Enhanced Subtitles”. Turn off there.
and
Settings on Apple TV “Accessibility” > “Subtitles and Enhanced Subtitles” > “Style”. Turn off there.
Problems turning off:
In some tvOS versions, there seem to be problems turning off subtitles. Although subtitles are displayed as being off, they still appear in Live TV. Users report the following solution: turning subtitles on again and then off again should permanently disable the subtitles.
